School transitions experiences: Supporting children moving from online to offline learning
The COVID-19 pandemic has increased stress, fear, and worry for many families and children. With more schools opening up for in-person learning, transitioning back to school can create challenges for all children. Making the transition from home to school may be harder for children with developmental, behavioural, or emotional problems. This session will discuss how schools can help children and families by planning the transition and promoting social and emotional learning. With the right support, children can adjust to the new demands, learn new things, and thrive.
